Launch of the Summer School on Macroeconomic Modelling and Policy in Nancy
13 January 2026
The first edition of the Summer School on Macroeconomic Modelling and Policy, organised by BETA in collaboration with the RENEL Chair and the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Management of Nancy, will take place in Nancy from 8 to 12 June 2026.
Organised by Verónica Acurio Vásconez, Senior Lecturer at the University of Lorraine, this summer school, open mainly to Master’s students, young researchers and professionals, offers 30 hours of intensive training in macroeconomic modelling. It combines theoretical courses and practical workshops on Matlab/Dynare, progressing from the RBC model to neo-Keynesian extensions and Bayesian estimation.
The last day is devoted to applied research seminars and a round table, with the participation of speakers from central banks, on the uses of DSGE models in economic policy analysis.
Applications are open until 30 April 2026, with rolling assessment from 15 March 2026.
