OLEF promotes its activities at national and regional level
17 July 2026
In early July 2026, the Observatory for Forest Economics (OLEF) took part in two major scientific events that highlighted the role of this platform in supporting research into environmental and forest economics carried out by research teams.
On 8 July 2026, Alexandra Niedzwiedz presented the OLEF platform’s scientific approach – from data collection to making the data available through an open science initiative – during the scientific day organised by the Department of Economic, Social and Management Sciences (SESG) at AgroParisTech in Palaiseau. BETA is one of fourteen research units attached to this department, whose work covers a variety of fields, including economics applied to agriculture and the environment.
On 9 and 10 July 2026, OLEF attended the Grand Est Platforms Days, organised at the University of Lorraine. This event brought together numerous research platforms and infrastructures from the region to showcase their activities, foster exchanges between research stakeholders and strengthen collaborations.
Through their presence and presentations at these two events, Alexandra Niedzwiedz and Claire Montagné-Huck highlighted OLEF’s activities and services for researchers, whilst emphasising the value of research infrastructures in supporting scientific projects, producing high-quality data and developing innovative experimental approaches.
These events provided an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the platform’s resources and expertise amongst a wide range of audiences, and to strengthen its integration into regional and national scientific networks.
