Summer School on Macroeconomic Modelling and Policy – 2026 edition DGSE
From 2026/06/08 to 2026/06/12
All day
Event details :
The first edition of the Summer School on Macroeconomic Modelling and Policy, organised by BETA in collaboration with the RENEL Chair and the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Management of Nancy, will take place in Nancy from 8 to 12 June 2026.
This edition will focus on Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models – a key tool in contemporary macroeconomic analysis and in the design of monetary, fiscal, and environmental policies.
Each day will combine theoretical instruction in the morning and a practical computer workshop in the afternoon, ensuring a balanced progression between conceptual understanding and technical implementation.
The week’s program is designed to help participants develop their skills progressively, starting with the basic RBC model and moving on to New Keynesian extensions and advanced estimation approaches. This structure aims to combine theoretical learning, quantitative practice, and applied research, while promoting scientific cooperation between students, young researchers, and faculty members.
The last day is devoted to applied research seminars and a round table, with the participation of speakers from central banks, on the uses of DSGE models in economic policy analysis.
Applications are open until 30 April 2026, with rolling assessment from 15 March 2026.
