Event details :
Every Monday, the University of Strasbourg’s Science Garden offers lectures open to the general public on current research topics. Each week, a different discipline and theme are highlighted by recognized specialists in their field of expertise.
In this context, Quitterie Roquebert, Senior lecturer in economics at the University of Strasbourg, and Jean-Baptiste Delaye, doctoral student at the University of Strasbourg, will speak on the theme: “The evolution of gynecological care provision and its effects on professionals and patients.”
The medical provision of gynecological care has changed significantly in France in recent decades, with a decline in the number of gynecologists and the gradual expansion of midwives’ skills to include gynecological care outside of pregnancy. How have these changes affected the care pathway for patients? Have they changed the way healthcare professionals work?
Meeting supported by the French National Research Agency (ANR) as part of the “Science with and for society” program.
Jean-Baptiste Delaye will also speak on the same topic at the Schirmeck library on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 3 p.m.
