Theophilos Papadimitriou, guest on the University of Strasbourg podcast “Défis de science, défis de société”

From January 17 to March 14, 2025, BETA had the pleasure of welcoming researcher Theophilos Papadimitriou (Democritus University of Thrace, Greece) to Strasbourg as part of the Visiting Scholar Fellowship MAKErS.
During his visit, Theophilos Papadimitriou shared his expertise on the use of AI as a decision-making tool in macroeconomics in the University of Strasbourg’s podcast Défis de science, défis de société (‘Scientific Challenges, Societal Challenges’). The episode he recorded, “Macroeconomics: Can AI Predict the Future?”, has been available since October 21, 2025.
In March 2025, Theophilos Papadimitriou also led an interdisciplinary seminar on “The Uses of AI in Economics”, a topic on which he is currently collaborating with researchers at BETA.
