Boards and Committees

In addition to their research and teaching activities, BETA researchers are involved in their scientific communities through their participation in editorial boards of peer-reviewed journals.

In particular, BETA maintains three peer-reviewed journals: Mondes en développement, Cliometrica and the OPEE Bulletin.

In addition to these three journals, many BETA members hold editorial responsibilities on the scientific committees and/or editorial boards of a wide variety of journals such as, for example, Economie et Prévision, Management International, Revue d’Economie Financière, Journal of Forest Economics, Revue d’Economie Industrielle, Journal of the History of Economic Thought, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Cahiers d’Economie Politique, History of Economic Ideas, etc.tc.

In addition, several members of BETA hold or have held positions in research steering committees or scientific societies, including, for example, the Charles Gide association, the Association Française d’Economie du Droit, the Association Française de Science Economique, the Association Tiers-Monde, the International Schumpeter Society, the European Society for the History of Economic Thought, the Scientific Council of INED, the Royal Society of Canada.

BETA members are also very much involved in the daily lives of their home institutions. They hold or have held collective responsibilities within their university supervisory bodies (vice-presidency of human resources at the University of Lorraine, vice-presidency of research at the University of Haute-Alsace, vice-presidency of training at the University of Strasbourg, vice-presidency of research in the field of social sciences at the University of Strasbourg, presidency of section 37 of the CNRS, management of the MSH Lorraine, vice-presidency of training at the University of Lorraine).
