Job market: the challenges of artificial intelligence

On Monday April 28, 2025, Eve-Angeline Lambert, professor at the University of Lorraine, was interviewed by France 3 Grand Est as part of a report, broadcast on ICI 19/20 Lorraine, on the effects of the deployment of artificial intelligence on the job market.

The deployment of AI enables real productivity gains for the companies that use it, and the creation of new jobs. However, AI is also driving a profound transformation of the job market. By changing companies’ human resources needs, AI is destroying and erasing low-skilled, routine jobs, whose current holders will find it hard to retrain.
