OLEF meets the public at the AgroParisTech campus in Nancy
29 May 2026
The AgroParisTech campus in Nancy opened its doors on 27 May 2026 to celebrate the institution’s 200th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the general public was invited to explore the campus to gain a better understanding of teaching and research activities related to forests and wood, in a welcoming and interactive setting.
OLEF (Observatory for Forest Economics), a BETA platform, ran a stand there entitled “Nature’s superpowers” as part of the “Open Campus” initiative. A card game allowed visitors to discover the wealth of forest ecosystem services and the threats they face. The public could also learn about the many uses of wood through an interactive diagram of the forestry and timber sector (Que devient le bois des arbres abattus en forêt ? | Genially).
