First workshop of the ANR INDUSTRIFEM project

BETA is delighted to host the first study day of the ANR INDUSTRIFEM project in Strasbourg, on October 14, 2025.
INDUSTRIFEM proposes a re-examination of the place and role played by women in the French industrialization process, and thus contributes to renewing the vision of the economic role played by women in the 19th century. Several BETA members are taking part in this ANR-supported project (ANR-24-CE26-4307), led by Charlotte Le Chapelain (Centre Lyonnais d’Histoire du Droit et de la Pensée Politique – CLHDPP, Université Jean Moulin Lyon III).
This first workshop will be divided into two parts:
- The morning, open to all, will be devoted to scientific presentations on the issue of the representation of the entrepreneur in history (Workpackage 3 of the project).
- The afternoon will be reserved for members of the project team, and will be devoted to the progress of the INDUSTRIFEM project, the organization of future work on Workpackages and the digital database.
