Nathalie Picard to Participate in the “Ici on agit!” Forum in Strasbourg
16 June 2026
On June 17 and 18, 2026, Strasbourg will host the “Ici on agit” forum, a major event dedicated to ecological and societal transitions. Held at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès, this event brings together nearly 5,000 participants, 140 speakers, and more than 120 partners to discuss concrete solutions for addressing environmental challenges.
Designed as a space for knowledge-sharing, debate, and action, the forum features roundtables, open forums, workshops, and demonstrations to better understand the transformations underway and identify levers for action at the local level.
On this occasion, Nathalie Picard, professor of economics at the University of Strasbourg and researcher at BETA, will speak during the session titled « Décarboner la mobilité : des flottes d’entreprise aux poids lourds, comment passer à l’échelle ? » (“Decarbonizing Mobility: From Corporate Fleets to Heavy-Duty Vehicles, How Do We Scale Up?”).
This discussion will address a central challenge of the ecological transition: reducing emissions in the transportation sector, particularly through the transformation of corporate fleets and heavy-duty vehicles. It will highlight the technical, economic, and infrastructure challenges associated with this transition, as well as operational solutions to accelerate decarbonization at scale.
Through her participation, Nathalie Picard will help inform public policy and the economic choices needed to support more sustainable mobility, a key aspect of the energy transition.
