The Laboratory for Experimental Economics Strasbourg is a research tool which enables the study of individual behavior in environments of strategic interaction. It allows decision-making contexts to be reconstructed in the laboratory, in order to compare theories with experimental results and to adapt existing models with a view to identifying new avenues for research. We can thus study the behavior of economic agents in a controlled artificial setting.

The laboratory facilitates the evaluation and comparison of public policies, as well as the devising of new ones. It is also an innovative pedagogical tool which is used in teaching economics to students.
