Giacomo Damioli’s expertise sought by a Spanish daily newspaper

On 2 February 2026, the Spanish daily newspaper La Vanguardia published an article on the European geography of advanced digital technologies, entitled ‘La geografía del poder digital europeo que “ignora” a España’ (The geography of European digital power that “ignores” Spain).
As part of this article, journalists interviewed researcher Giacomo Damioli in his capacity as an innovation economist. Following these discussions, some of his analyses were cited from a European perspective.
