‘Environmental issues: how does education change young people’s behaviour?’

Article « Enjeux environnementaux : en quoi l’éducation transforme-t-elle les comportements des jeunes ? » by Magali Jaoul-Grammare (CNRS Research Fellow, University of Strasbourg) and Anne Stenger (INRAE Research Director), published on 5 December 2025 on The Conversation France.
The two researchers examined the factors determining students’ eating habits and mobility based on the 2023 survey conducted by the Student Life Observatory, « Conditions de vie des étudiants » (‘Student Living Conditions’).
Abstract: ‘Entering the world of student life turns young people’s lifestyles upside down. Does this transition to independence encourage them to adopt environmentally friendly behaviours? Some insights from the latest survey results from the Student Life Observatory.
