The 2025/09/24
From 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Event details :
As part of Research Week at the University of Lorraine, the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Administration in Metz is organizing an exceptional immersion event for economics students in their second year of undergraduate studies, master’s first year, and master’s second year on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Amphi 2, to demystify the world of research and spark scientific vocations.
This unique event will begin with an interactive quiz that playfully confronts perceptions of economic research and its professional opportunities.
It will be followed by an enriching round table discussion bringing together three speakers with complementary backgrounds: a young teacher-researcher, a new doctoral student, and the director of BETA (Bureau d’Économie Théorique et Appliquée), who will share their experiences, present their research work, and reveal the realities of their professional lives.
After a detailed presentation of BETA and its missions, the day will end with an interactive exchange where students will be able to ask questions and receive personalized advice on building their career paths.
